Certified Flight Instructor Course
Accelerated Two-Week Ground School Program
This two week accelerated Certified Flight Instructor ground school course provides approximately 50 hours of advanced ground training. Students will be in an interactive environment which promotes a high level of understanding of the subject matter. This course provides practical experience and skills for teaching flight students.
Prerequisites
- Flight Instructor written exams (FIA and FOI) must be completed prior to enrollment
- Housing options may be available upon request
Course Options & Investment
Option 1: CFI Class
Investment: $1,850
Includes approximately 50 hours of advanced instruction in a
classroom setting in preparation for the CFI practical test.
Option 2: CFI Class, Flight Training, and Checkride
Investment Range: $6,176 – $8,561
Price will vary depending on the amount of flight time needed. Flight proficiency must be met, this can vary between 6-15 hours of flight instruction. This can include Spin Training, if needed. Ground may be needed for pre/post flight briefings, as well as checkride.

- Flight Training: $1,590 – $3,975
- Flight Instruction: $80/hr
- Cessna 172 Rental: $185/hr
Certification Testing
- Checkride Fee: $1,600
- Checkride Aircraft Rental: $336 (2 hours)
Housing available upon request for out-of-area students
