About
The Yellowstone Airport is located two miles north of the town of West Yellowstone on Hwy 191,or 45 miles south of the Resorts at Big Sky. The town of West Yellowstone is located at the west entrance to Yellowstone National Park. The Yellowstone Airport is also the closest, full-service airport to all the major attractions in Yellowstone National Park, including Old Faithful (30 miles), Canyon (45 miles), and Lake Hotel (65 miles). The airport is at an elevation of 6,644 feet and has an 8,400 foot long runway. The instrument approaches include ILS, NDB and GPS. The airport has accommodated everything from C152s to the B747.
There is a landing fee charged to all turbine/jet aircraft starting at $25. There are no parking/overnight charges at Yellowstone Airport.

We understand the need for competitive fuel pricing. At the same time, our prices reflect the many complimentary services offered with your fuel purchase. Rates on average are $0.08 less than the average Rocky Mountain region pricing and contract pricing is $0.28 less than our competitors. We do offer volume and contract pricing for those purchases of 200+ of fuel. Choice has teamed up with the following contract providers; AIRCard, AVCARD, Avfuel, Colt, Everest, MultiService, Uvair, & World Fuel services.

Hangar
Hangar is currently not available at our West Yellowstone location. We are hopeful to be able to provide this service in the near future. If a hangar is required, we recommend our EKS location a short distance away.

Due to the number of people in the area during the summer season, it is recommended that reservations be made as early as possible for hotel rooms and rental cars. Some hotels offer airport shuttles. For those wishing to camp with their aircraft, there is a campground located at the north end of the tie down ramp for pilots and passengers. The campground is in the trees and has picnic tables, fire pits, water and a pit toilet. Tents can be pitched anywhere among the trees, and campers will generally share the tables and fire pits. It is available on a first come first serve basis and no reservation is necessary. The campground is provided and maintained by the Montana Aeronautics Division, and there is no charge for its use. There is a landing fee for all turbine aircraft. If planning to camp, notify us on Unicom (123.0) when inbound that you will be going to the campground, and we will not direct you to parking on the ramp. We can also give you directions to the campground at that time.
